The Heart of Our Mission
Preserve2day Empowerment is a faith-based nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to serving disadvantaged individuals who have experienced a health crisis and are no longer able to work, as well as at-risk seniors striving to maintain their independence.
Through compassionate, one-on-one advocacy, guidance, and resource navigation, we help them access objective, useful, and reliable information needed to sustain daily living, and improve well-being. Our mission is to strengthen the quality of life for residents throughout Union County, North Carolina, by ensuring that those facing life’s greatest challenges do not have to navigate them alone.
BIBLE + PURPOSE
The Bible tells us in Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Sometimes it’s not that people don’t care. It’s that they don’t understand. You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know! And when you don’t understand your healthcare, your diagnosis, or your options — it can cost you your quality of life. That is where we come in.

B. Louisa Covington is a native of Union County and the Founder, CEO, and Advocate of Preserve2day Empowerment, a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2025. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Services and worked for many years in healthcare within specialty medical office settings.
Her vision was rooted in her own lived experience of the challenges of local government and community resources after disability. Louisa understands the unique challenges faced by working-aged adults experiencing unexpected health crises that prevent them from fully returning to the workforce. As an Advocate, she also serves at-risk seniors to maintain dignity and continue living as independently as possible within their homes and communities.

Helping individuals understand healthcare options, referrals, and next steps while assistance is pending.
Educating and Empowering Clients
Explaining medical terminology, care plans, and patient rights in clear, accessible language.
Assisting With Documentation and Follow-Up
Supporting clients in organizing paperwork, understanding notices, and preparing questions for providers or agencies.
Bridging Communication Gaps
Serving as a liaison between clients, healthcare providers, community partners, and support agencies when appropriate.
Advocating for Timely and Compassionate Care
Encouraging providers and institutions to recognize the urgency of care needs regardless of pending assistance status.
ADVOCACY EXPLANATION SECTION
Preserve2day Empowerment serves as an Independent Personal Advocate.
What does that mean?
It means: If you have a loved one with a health challenge—or going through a life transition, and you are their caregiver—you already know the journey often requires numerous doctor visits, tests, treatments, and follow-ups. Navigating these systems can be overwhelming. We provide peace of mind by ensuring all the pieces fit together, serving as your personal trusted Advocate.
Who We Serve and What we Do
Disadvantaged Individuals
That may have suffered a health crisis and are now out of work. We help by assisting with documentation organizing paperwork and preparation of questions for providers or agencies. While they wait for Medicaid, Disability or other assistance. Navigating these systems can be overwhelming.
At-risk seniors
Who may not have a loved one’s support-they are alone. We help by enhancing the client experience by offering personalized guidance. And to encourage informed decision-making by ensuring clients understand their options and have the information needed to participate actively in their care. While the wish to remain and live independently at home.
Caregivers
Who feel overwhelmed-caring for their loved one and need our guidance and assistance to step in for awhile
Individuals with limited
Education that has difficulty conveying what they need to help them effectively. We help by explaining care plans, and medical terminology. Improve communication among healthcare providers. We ensure their voice is heard.
Compassionate One-on-One Support
Listening first, advocating always — with dignity and respect. Identifying and connecting clients with community resources that support independent living and overall well-being. As well as accompany to their most important Doctor appointments.
Why This Matters
Vulnerable individuals and their families are often faced with navigating multiple physicians, specialists, hospitals, insurance requirements, medications, community resources, and difficult healthcare decisions. These challenges can create confusion, delays in care, caregiver stress, and barriers that affect a client's overall well-being.

Unique Home Care LLC-provides compassionate in-home care services that allow vulnerable individuals, children with special needs, and aging adults to continue living independently or with their loved ones in the comfort and familiarity of home. Preserve2day Empowerment complements those services. Our partnership reflects a shared belief that individuals should have the opportunity to remain in their homes, surrounded by the people and communities they love, while receiving the support necessary to thrive.
